Put your head on my shoulder - Chinese drama review

I generally watch k dramas , its quite hard to go wrong with any Korean drama. They always seem to cast talented actors, wear pretty outfits, an engaging story line and amazing cinematography. Chinese dramas like Love O2O, Boss and me, Ten miles of Peach blossoms and Love me if you dare have proved to be great dramas to watch. In 2019, put your head on my shoulder was a Chinese drama that was talked about very often. This drama truly deserves its popularity.

The plot is set in a university, Situ Mo [Xing Fei] and Gu Weiyi [Lin Yi] are nearing their graduation. Through a course of events ,the two end up living together in Gu Weiyi's apartment. Their growing attraction to one another seems quite natural and cute. The drama shows the the leads from their university days to their marriage and work.

Both Xing Fei and Lin Yi are really good looking. Their roles were well played. The chemistry between them is great. Also, because the mothers of Situ Mo and Gu Weiyi are good friends, there was no unnecessary clash with the in laws [unlike many other dramas].

Put your head on my shoulder was engaging throughout. It was a good blend of a funny, heartwarming and an easy going drama.

Recently, I read 1984 by George Orwell. The book is well written and insightful on political dominance and oligarchy. I could see why this book is highly recommended. While reading the book, I came across a phrase - ' Inequality is the price of civilization'. Although this phrase was meant to justify the harsh treatment of citizens the extreme rules under the part rule, it is simply even today. And this may not necessarily be bad. Most people today have equal rights, may be treated with equal respect and dignity. But without inequality, society as we know it wouldn't exist.
